untitled #4

Why hello there. I was MIA for a little while. Busy with school as usual. It pays off though. First off, I got a 98 on my Bio test and a 91 on my Geography test. Also, I’m finished with Sociology for the year - I finished off the last section. Also, I finally decided that I’m going into commerce at St. Mary’s. I’m also not going to live on campus. I decided that I don’t want to be surrounded by seventeen and eighteen year old hyped up kids just getting out of high school. I don’t blame them for being hyped up but I don’t really want to be around for that so I’m going to get an apartment in the South end of Halifax somewhere. I’m going to try to convince my friend to move to Halifax with me. I’m pumped for having my own apartment, not guna’ lie.

Saturday is my friend’s birthday so we’re going somewhere tomorrow and getting drunk. We don’t know where yet exactly, but we’ll find a place.

I’m getting closer and closer to my macbook. I almost got one last week but I didn’t get approved for credit. I wasn’t surprised I didn’t get approved because I DON’T HAVE A JOB. ;] But, I’ll have one before September for sure. I’m not taking this piece of shit dell with me to Halifax for school.

PS: Writing a blog tomorrow - Have to study for Bio test.

President Obama!

I know I’m not American but I’m thrilled that Obama was sworn in today. I don’t attend a Canadian college but they aired the inauguration on a big projector in the cafeteria all day. His speech was remarkable, like always.

This past weekend was pretty fun. I went down to a pool bar for some drinks with a couple of friends. I only played one game of pool, because I suck. I mean, I really really suck. There were some shots that would be super easy for anyone but I just can’t get the hang of it. I use to be really good too. I won $20 on a slot machine, that was pretty cool. It paid for almost five of my drinks so I was happy about that. I went to a hockey game on Saturday night and it was brutal, the team got their ass kicked 5-0 and I felt robbed of my $10 :)

I’ve been kinda’ down lately. I don’t know what it is. I think it’s the thought of the Fall. I don’t know if I’m ready yet for University. I think I might want to work for a year instead and go in 2010. I’m not even 100% sure I want to be a teacher but there’s nothing really that interests me. It’s sad to say. I mean, I love computers obviously but not enough that I would want to go into a career that involves them like I.T or web design. I’m not even that great when it comes to fixing them anyway or web design for that matter but I don’t claim to be great at either of those things anyway. People in the family will ask me questions like, “My computer is blah blah blah, what’s wrong with it?” and I really have no idea how to answer them lol. Call me if you need help setting up your iPod or something along that lines because I’m only savvy with the general common knowledge things that might be hard for people who just started using a computer.

At first I thought about going into Sociology. I really liked that idea. I was under the impression that when you get a sociology degree, you can be a social worker. Apparently, I was wrong. I researched what you can do with a sociology degree and almot every result said that it’s not a great degree for jobs. I know you shouldn’t always think about the money but if I’m going to pay for four years of university out of my own credit, I want a job almost right away with good pay.

As far as where I would go after this school year, I’m not sure. I’ve always wanted to go to LA or NY and I know that sounds like a cliche but it’s true. I don’t plan on going down and trying to get into the business but I would like to be surrounded by it and experience what it’s like to live in a crazy town like Hollywood. I would also love to intern as a writer’s assistant at a network or something. I just want to leave Nova Scotia for a little while because it’s getting too repetitive for me. It’s not diverse enough, I don’t know one jewish person. I especially want to leave the area I am in because it feels like I’ve been stuck with the same few people for years. Hardly anybody new comes here and if they do they’re sucked in by a group of people who think success is getting a job that pays $11 an hour.

I’m going to go do some work, that’s all I ever do. I’m so sick of biology it’s not even funny. I’ll be done in March though, so I guess it’s worth cramming it in so much.

Tomorrow (or later tonight) I’m going to do a blog that’s not about my life. It’s going to be about something I thought about today that makes me feel sorry for some people. Weird.

Another short week and another long weekend. I had no school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I showed up today for one class and found out we have no class tomorrow either. I got a 98 in Genetics, so I’m impressed with that. Ignore my last post, I was frustrated with all of my procrastination when it came to doing school work.

I’m working on a new theme, but I’m really going to take a lot of time and make sure it’s half decent so it might not be up this week at all.

A plane just landed in the Hudson River. Everyone survived. This kind of thing makes me never want to fly again but still, it’s pretty rare.

I’m frustrated..

WHY!?!

“Deal with it Cate Blanchett!”

If you watched the Golden Globes last night, you know what my title means. If you didn’t watch the Golden Globes last night, you suck! Just kidding, award shows aren’t for everyone. They are pretty boring but they’re funny if you notice the small things.

1. The Golden Globes seem to have a reputation for spontaneous camera spans. I know most award shows do but there’s just something that catches them off guard.

2. When each actor(ess) does get spanned upon, some of them don’t know how to react especially since they zoom in so fucking close.

3. Drew Barrymore made me laugh with the first two words out of her mouth when she said, “Good Evening” - Basically mocking the uptight formal greeting most other celebrities use.

4. Sasha Cohen (AKA Borat) cracked a few jokes about celebrities that I didn’t think were outrageously funny but it was funny that everyone was so uptight about it (cut to Salma Hayek giving him a death look)

5. TRACEY FUCKING MORGAN. The man who told Cate Blanchett to deal with it.

Enough about the Golden Globes. I didn’t go to school today because I only had one class. All the teachers are in Halifax this week for meetings and they’re all gone at separate times. So tomorrow and Wednesday are also free. I got a lot of Biology done today, it was smothering me. We have to have it all done before March 12th when my teacher leaves.

I found out today that I suck at yoga. The Wii fit has yoga and it’s super hard. I guess it didn’t help that I was wearing jeans - I was just testing it out.

Time to go finish watching Momma’s boys. It’s so fucking cheesy.

I can’t believe I went this long and consistent with blogging. I still need to do some fixes. I still need:

1. The fixed pop-up window for my DVD collection.
2. To find the plugin for Word count.
3. Get a plugin for “# of Posts” and “Total # of comments” to go in the sidebar because wordpress stats do not work, it’s just a stat chart inside your dashboard and it’s stupid.

I need to stop procrastinating and actually do some work for school. Take care.

Sober Fridays

I just got back from a walk with two friends and I’m freezing. I’m about to watch Definitely, Maybe and I heard it sucked (I love me some Isla Fisher) but I guess I’ll be the judge of that. I think people are way too critical about movies these days, they expect everything to be as great as Casablanca or The God Father.

Okay so, I put something off way too long now. That something is.. Twilight. I do not understand the hype at all and that’s because I know nothing about it at all besides that it is a vampire story. So many people are completely obsessed and it’s getting hype just like Harry Potter did. At first, I hated the hype about Harry Potter.. then I read the book and I understood it all. So tomorrow I’m going to go out and buy the books, I think there’s three. I could be wrong. I’ll see if it’s as great as another vampire series known as The Sookie Stackhouse Stories which is what the HBO TV Show True Blue is about.

Okay movie time now..

Untitled #1

I’m back to school and it’s kind of a dead week because not everyone is back in the school mood, but are we ever? I have an appointment with a career developer type person for next week to see what I need to do to get prepared for next fall. We had no school today because the roads were bad early this morning apparently. By the time I woke up the roads and weather were fine. I didn’t do much all day, a few assignments. I’m feeling kind of lonely lately, I don’t know why. Well, I know why - but I won’t go into it here.

30 Rock is back tonight! :) Along with Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy. I don’t really get excited for Grey’s Anatomy anymore. It’s still one of my favorite shows but it’s slowly going down the list because it’s all the same every episode.

I still can’t figure out HOW to make a fixed sized pop-up window :( I wanna’ do it for my DVD Collection page. I know Mario knows how to do it but I haven’t seen him online in a little while. I also need some more affiliates! So if anyone who happens to cross by my blog is interested, leave a comment here or email me (my site email is in my “About Me” section)

I have to go clean, do more papers and stuff now.. I leave you with a picture of a blue jay outside my window (lol)

Adios!

It’s binky bitches!

Yeah, so I’m bored and I took a few pictures and decided I’d share a photo with you all. That would be my cat and yes his name is Binky (stupid name, I know) and he’s about ten years old.

I’m going to update (edit into this post) later..

Mark
Hello. I'm Mark and I'm probably not going to ramble on about myself. The most you need to know and will have to know is that I'm a nineteen year old male from Canada. You can check my "About Me" page for general bio info.
